Dan Hepworth

Dan Hepworth is a Massapequa Park native, Eagle Scout, and graduate of Chaminade High School and Duke University. He founded and sold The Massapequa Tutor, then built Hepworth around a simple standard: strong judgment, clear communication, and tutors chosen with real care. He also works in Manhattan as a software engineer on high-stakes systems, bringing that same precision and follow-through to Hepworth.

The Hepworth Standard

Hepworth is built around fast response, clear communication, and careful tutor selection. Families should feel that questions are answered early, the next step is already in motion, and the whole process is being handled properly.

The goal is not only better grades. It is a student who begins to ascend, becoming more confident, more curious, and more prepared to accomplish serious things.

What Families Should Expect

Fast response, clear communication, and tutors who raise the level of the student in front of them.

We answer early.

Questions should be answered before they become frustrations, and uncertainty should not drag on.

We set a high bar for tutors.

Strong grades matter, but so do patience, clarity, judgment, and the ability to build real confidence.

We care about trajectory.

The right tutor should not only improve performance, but help a student ascend, becoming more confident, more curious, and more ambitious.
